Mapping & Sound
Concept : I collaborated with my two colleagues to create a brief animation that captures the emotion of "Dukh rasa," which represents deep sadness and emptiness. We began by projecting the animation onto the space and then tailored the visuals and colors to suit the venue and audience.
Subsequently, we focused on enhancing the audience's experience by working on sound design to intensify the emotional impact and create an immersive atmosphere. Our goal was to use sound to generate a full surround-sound experience. A proper mapping of the space was done for the animation according to the space available in after effects.
Sound Design : Sound was designed with the immersive nature of the projection and its storytelling aspect in mind. The use of low bass frequencies and muffled sounds was intended to deeply engage the audience emptionally, while the incorporation of high-pitched tones enriched the overall narrative of the animation. The sound was panned all around, enhancing the immersive experience..
The projection was not just limited to wall . the blue droplets were mapped all around the space so that they can even fall on the audience watching . Making them a part of it.
